(Dr.) Arpita Lahriri Roy Chowdhury, shared, "We recognize the crucial role transplant coordinators play in a deceased organ donation process. From facilitating organ retrieval to ensuring the dignified handover of the donor's body to their family, coordinators oversee the entire process with precision and compassion. Their role demands unwavering dedication, in-depth knowledge, and exceptional communication skills—especially in grief counseling. Guiding families from sorrow and denial to the life-saving decision of organ donation requires both sensitivity and empathy. Today’s program aims to enhance their expertise through continuous practice and knowledge refinement. With Manipal Hospitals'  significant contributions to transplants in southern states, we aspire to replicate this impact here in the East too . We encourage more stakeholders to join us in advancing ethical organ transplants and bridging the demand-supply gap, ultimately saving more lives.”

At the coordinators meet, Dr. Ayanabh Debgupta stated, “A single organ donor has the power to save up to seven lives. At Manipal Hospitals, we are committed to amplifying the right voices and through collaborations with organizations like the Kolkata Nephrology Forum, we strive to enhance awareness and build a stronger transplant ecosystem to save more lives.”
