Kolkata, 17 November 2024: JIS Group hosted “Ahimsa Seminar” in association with Star 21 at the JIS School of Medical Sciences and Research left a lasting impression while gathering renowned figures to explore the critical role of non-violence in shaping a peaceful world. The initiative was organized and made possible with the support of South Howrah Shree Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi Sabha, South Howrah Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Terapanth Yuvak Parishad South Howrah, Terapanth Professional Forum South Howrah and Anuvrat Samiti Howrah. Through insightful discussions, the seminar highlighted the principles of Ahimsa, emphasizing its importance in a world faced with complex conflicts and social tensions.
The event brought together distinguished personalities, including renowned Jain monk, Munishree Jinesh Kumar Ji Swami; Jagmohan Singh Gill, renowned Sikh historian, Dr Faud Halim, renowned social worker; Rev Martin Arun Pakhre, Presbyter Incharge, CNI, Dipankar Basu from Maitri Mandir and Ashok Kumar P Kothari, Commissioner of Customs and Indirect Taxes.
Top management of the JIS Group comprising Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group; Sardar Haranjit Singh, Joint Managing Director, JIS Group and Sardar Amrik Singh, Deputy Managing Director, JIS Group also graced the event.
