Kolkata 9October 2024: Arijit Das Thakur, Councilor at ward no. 106, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, inaugurated the Aashirvaad Salt stall at Purbachal Sakti Sangha, Kasba.
At Durga Puja celebrations, Aashirvaad Salt as part of its 'Aashirvaad Iodine er Protistruti' campaign, highlighted the importance of iodine consumption for normal growth and brain function. Devotees were encouraged to conduct an Iodine test, to familiarize themselves with how to identify an Iodised salt. They were also seen taking a pledge to include adequate iodized salt as part of their regular dietary routine to support their iodine requirements on a consistent basis.
Further, as part of the awareness drive, social workers, traffic police, and sanitation workers received Aashirvaad Salt tote bags to serve as a reminder to include Iodised Salt in their daily diet.
