2 March 2024: The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has appointed Dr Joel Ruet, a distinguished economist and strategic advisor, as its Chief Representative for France, marking ICC's strategic move to enhance economic ties with the largest nation in Western Europe.
The ICC's expansion in France aims to foster stronger economic collaboration between India and France.
Dr Joël Ruet is a Innovation Faculty at Ecole Polytechnique in France and Senior Adviser to the “Technology for Change” Chair.
Mr Ameya Prabhu, President of ICC, expressed delight in the appointment, stating, "We are happy to have Dr Joel Ruet as ICC’s Chief Representative for France. His extensive experience and pivotal role in building economic ties between India and France make him an invaluable leader. Under his leadership, we look forward to catalysing robust partnerships and bilateral investment, propelling India-France trade beyond the USD 13 billion milestone in the coming years. I am confident that through his capable leadership and advisory, ICC will help to promote two-way investments between both countries."
Dr Joel Ruet shared his enthusiasm, saying, " It is an honour to represent the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in France, where I aim to leverage my expertise in sustainable development and emerging markets to foster impactful collaborations between French businesses and Indian stakeholders."
