JIS Group organises Athletics Meet: An Initiative to Nurture Fitness & Wellness in Tomorrow's Leaders




18 June 2024:    JIS Group successfully organised the highly anticipated JIS Schools Athletics Meet, at the Gitanjali Stadium in Kasba. The event showcased exhilarating athleticism, teamwork, a sporting spirit, and a talent for fitness among the participants from Narula Public School, Central Model School, Little Bright Stars Pre-School and  Rhode Island Public School. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dipendu Biswas, former Indian Professional Footballer & former MLA; Dibyendu Barua, Indian Chess Grandmaster & Arjuna Awardee; Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group; Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group and Aakanksha Kaur, Principal & Founder, Little Bright Stars Preschool, Mentor of Central Model School & Narula Public School of JIS Group Educational Initiatives.



The highlights of the event included several competitive sports-based activities, energetic dance performances and an impressive march past by the participants, representing their respective schools. The oath-taking ceremony instilled a sense of sportsmanship and ensured a fair and spirited competition throughout the day. Children also actively participated in a lineup of thrilling and challenging 'Solve the Problem' mind games, several divisional races spanning 100m and 200m categories for boys and girls, and many more.



Speaking on the occasion, Aakanksha Kaur, said, “The JIS Group takes immense pride in hosting this exclusive event, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork among the participating students. This event helped the students to step out of their academic life and take a productive step towards healthy living and physical fitness.
