Punjabiyat Joins Hands with Future Hope for a Heartfelt Durga Puja Initiative


2 October, 2023 , Kolkata : Punjabiyat announced their collaboration with the Future Hope on the occasion of their first anniversary. They will be providing a special meal to 150 underprivileged children during Durga Puja, and they also launched their upcoming Durga Puja Special Menu. 

Guests such as Mr Zha Liyou, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata; Ushashi Ray, Renowned Actress, and Jayeeta Das, Owner of Punjabiyat; Trisha Ghosh, Co- Owner of Punjabiyat and Devjani Ghosh, Co-Owner of Punjabiyat were present during the event.

The restaurant's theme revolves around mouthwatering dishes from age-old recipes of undivided Punjab, and it has brought smiles to at least 9,000 happy and satisfied customers since last year. Punjabiyat proudly announced their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate with this heartfelt initiative. The restaurant will provide a special meal to at least 150 underprivileged children belonging to the Future Hope during Durga Puja, ensuring that the children experience the joy of the festival for at least one of the ten days of the occasion. They have also launched their new Durga Pujo Special Menu, offering Chicken Biryani for just Rs. 245. The food is prepared to taste like the true traditional cuisine of undivided Punjab. The menu includes dishes such as Murgh Rara Punjabi, Gosh Bemisal Handi, Paneer Hunza, Murgh Angra Sholey, and much more.

Commenting on the event, Jayeeta Das, Owner of Punjabiyat, said, "The journey from being housewives to women entrepreneurs has been a great experience. Punjabiyat has received much love from our community since last year, so we thought that it is our time now to give back to the community. Durga Puja is a time when there is joy throughout the city, and I believe that everyone deserves that joy and should go to sleep with a full stomach.
