11 September 2023: Lions Club of Calcutta Park Street completed its impressive 53-year journey of service and impact on the community on 9th sep 2023. A musical evening with few more program for the betterment of society and mankind were organised on the occasion. It's heartening to see the dedication and commitment of members like Rajesh Kr Chandak, Sunit Khetan, Kishore shaw, Ashok Jaju, Suresh Jhawar, Brijesh Kothari and many more.
The range of charitable initiatives and social welfare programs, from medical camps to educational projects, is truly commendable.
The club on foundation day started a library for street children of its one of the permanent projects ASRH NIDHI CENTRE (EDUCION CENTRE FOR STREET CHIDREN) is a concept of Sumit khetan. Books and almirah for library were handed over to school in charge by Sumit khetan and Brijesh Kothari.
President Anil GOENKA speaking on the occasion said he is thankful to all seniors ‘of the club Ram Mohta, Ram Krishna Agarwal, J.P GOENKA, NK MEHTA, Gopal Kedia, S.S. Agarwal and others who also supported club for any activities and guided also. He also thanks all the 91members for their support to the current team and to the club.
Promod Saraf the only founder member present narrated his 53 years journey in lions’ movement and also about lion’s park Street during a talk session moderated by Hemant Marda. The ceremony was followed by a cake cutting for foundation day and celebrates the birthday of its PRO Nt Rashmi Biyani which his on same day by another cake cutting.
Official from lions Dist. officials Kanak Dugar, VDG Vijay jodhani, Swati Goswami and many others were also present in the function.
