_Inaugurated by Dr Neeraj Saxena, Advisor of AICTE_
Kolkata, 10th June 2023: JIS College of Engineering (JISCE), under the JIS Group, hosted the inauguration ceremony of AICTE IDEA LAB. The ceremony took place at the JIS College do Engineering campus, located at Kalyani, Nadia. Esteemed dignitaries like Dr Neeraj Saxena, who is serving as an Advisor – I and heading the Institutional Development Cell (IDC) of AICTE along with Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group, Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group and Sardarni Jaspreet Kaur, Director, JIS Group were present at the event along with the Principal, Registrar, Entrepreneurs, Industry Personnel, Faculty and Students from near by school and colleges.
The AICTE – IDEA Lab is sanctioned to JIS College of Engineering with the total project cost of Rs 97.70 lakhs which is funded in 1:1 by both the AICTE & JISCE and thus making it the Nadia’s First Institution having AICTE Idea Lab.
This cutting-edge AICTE-IDEA (Innovation, Design, Entrepreneurship, and Augmentation) LAB, a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit among our talented students. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with avant-garde technologies, tools, and resources to provide an exceptional platform for ideation, prototyping, and project development.
Commenting on the event, Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group, said, "We are thrilled to be able to inaugurate the prestigious IDEA LAB granted by the AICTE. This IDEA LAB is a ground-breaking programme designed to encourage our gifted student’s spirit to understand the fundamentals towards hands- on experience. This revolutionary space is outfitted with leading-edge technologies, resources, and tools to offer an excellent platform for our students to pursue application of science technologies, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Our students are our future and we need a lab like this for our students to be motivated to create and develop a brighter future with their ideas and innovations in an advanced space which will push them to their maximum potential."
