KOLKATA, 26 MAY : As part of its one year anniversary celebrations, Taj City Centre Newtown Kolkata is delighted to present a captivating art exhibition titled, ‘Paints & Strokes’ by renowned artists Amit Chakraborty and Arunangshu Roy. This extraordinary showcase will immerse visitors in the rich tapestry of modern and abstract art forms. After the huge success of its first two editions, the exhibition now in its 3rd edition, will run till 27th May, where art enthusiasts and guests can immerse themselves in a world of creative expression.
Commenting on the occasion, Indranil Ray, General Manager, Taj City Centre Newtown Kolkata said; “We are thrilled to present the 3rd edition of Paints & Strokes which showcases the incredible talent and creativity of contemporary award winning artists Amit Chakraborty and Arunangshu Roy. Our goal is to create a platform where artists can showcase their work and engage with a broader audience, fostering a deeper appreciation for art.”
National Award Winning visual artist Amit Chakraborty while demonstrating live painting, said, “Most of my works are based on socio-political issues and through my works I try to convey messages, provoke thought, and inspire change on the canvas. I am happy that Taj City Centre Newtown Kolkata has given us a platform to showcase my work to the people of Kolkata.”
Award Winning artist Arunangshu Roy said, “My works are mostly mixed media which have been inspired by various elements like folk art, post modernism and pure constructions of lines, planes, forms, colours. I am grateful to Taj City Centre Newtown for their wholehearted support.”
