9 APRIL, Kolkata: The city’s most iconic hospital, Woodlands, has joined Kolkata Knights Riders as the official health partner for IPL 2023. As KKR returns to the fantabulous Eden Gardens with the “Bari Phirchi Ebar” mantra, Woodlands is padded up to ensure the best care for the medical needs of the players, supports staff, officials as well as spectators.
Woodlands will depute a 50 member-strong medical team including, specialist doctors, nurses, paramedics and technicians at each of the seven home matches of the purple-and-gold-brigade at Eden Gardens. The contingent will be spread out in the field of play, players’ medical room, five first aid kiosks and a mini hospital all at the stadium besides providing the most advanced ambulances. The hospital will also be present at the practice sessions of the Knights as well as the visiting teams during the entire home season.
