13February 2023: Mr Babul Supriyo, minister-in-charge of Information Technology & Electronics and Tourism, Government of West Bengal, got admitted at Woodlands Hospital on February 13, 2023 with complains of chest pain and sweating since last evening, jointly under Dr Saptarshi Basu (physician) and Dr Saroj Mondal (cardiologist).
ECG showed minor changes while Echocardiography was within normal limits. Coronary angiography was advised and done immediately, which revealed minor coronary artery disease.
No cardiac intervention is needed and he will be treated medically. He will be discharged later today.
Mr Babul Supriyo sought immediate medical attention upon experiencing chest pain and sweating, which was the correct decision, according to doctors.
