Web Desk; 19 January: Following the pandemic, businesses have now taken their operations online. However, online operations are prone to cyber attacks. And to protect from that, a plethora of infrastructural safeguards pertaining to information technology need to be installed by businesses. The cost for that is huge. But homegrown IT company Synersoft has made this task very simple. Not only that, it has also helping businesses keep the system secure at a very low cost.
Synersoft's CEO and co-founder Vishal Prakash Shah shared some insightful advice on the rise of MSMEs in India, particularly in West Bengal impacting the Indian economy and the necessity for its proprietary IT security solution ‘Blackbox’.
Mr. Shah divulged, “MSMEs are growing across India, but particularly in West Bengal. In contrast to large IT organisations, MSMEs do have some drawbacks. Large corporation have all the resources needed to handle any cyber situation, including major crises. However, it is exceedingly difficult for an MSME to afford data loss or any other hazard. In order to protect against the danger of data loss and leakage, Blackbox provides suitable security for the data. Blackbox lowers the overall cost of each MSME as well secure the data. Blackbox essentially adheres to the ideal of "maximum controlling and minimal monitoring" in order to safeguard MSMEs from ransomware attacks. Blackbox bit locks all data older than 180 days to prevent tampering. In the current environment, MSMEs need access to Blackbox so that they can secure and save their data.”
He added, "MSMEs do not require all the features that are required for large scale industries, which inspired us to develop the product. Blackbox has a security feature which helps to protect the confidentiality of a company. It offers a plan B to MSMEs. We are working in West Bengal for the past two years and are associated with almost 100 MSMEs. And, MSMEs can become the biggest consumers of IT in future. Also, work from home concept has become a big part of our lives where security is a major issue. Thus, ‘IT in a Box’ idea can become a great success in West Bengal. We are very hopeful towards working in Bengal and want to reshape Blackbox to safeguard MSMEs of West Bengal".
